STS Charles M. Schultz - Sonoma County Airport Runway Extension

Mead & Hunt Inc., and the Sonoma County Permit Resource Department requested a series of simulations to help communicate the impact of a proposed runway extension to accommodate regional jets and turbo prop passenger planes.

The crucial element in these simulations was to show the flight path of two new airplane types over four key neighborhoods, and to compare these with the existing flight paths.

Another key feature was the examination of the new plane types, their features and destinations that could be serviced from the expanded runway.

Working together with Rick Pepper of Aha!Visual, Maraizon International produced an extensive DVD featuring computer graphic simulations of take offs, landings, approach patterns, altitude studies and noise studies which would follow from the proposed extension.
