Condominiums, 33 San Pablo Road, San Rafael, CA

Our client, Monahan Pacific Llc, had secured Planning Commission approval for the construction of a multi-level 82-unit condominium project at 33 San Pablo Avenue, San Rafael, CA. The site is a sensitive one: adjacent to Frank Lloyd Wright’s famous Marin Civic Center, and with direct views of the Highway 101.

The project architect had supplied a low-detail computer model in Google Sketchup which did not address key visual concerns. An appeal was lodged, and the City Council required a full video simulation and photo-simulations to provide accurate visual analysis.

Maraizon was commissioned to produce an animation sequence from Hwy 101, San Pedro Road, and photo-simulations from key locations along San Pablo Road.

Working to a tight deadline, the animations were completed in time for the appeal hearing, and the project was subsequently approved.
